What if my computer is offline?
When the computer is offline, uploads wait and eligible existing cache remains available. The platform has no media copy to fetch.
Can the computer owner read my originals?
Private libraries restrict access through the app. The actual computer owner can still read the disk under system permissions.
Will cloud-only photos be downloaded?
Only authorized photos and videos fully readable on this device are backed up. Cloud-only originals are not fetched. Hidden media is excluded by default; recently deleted media is excluded.
What happens after expiry?
Expiry stops all online content transfer and relay. Originals and tasks remain. Existing cache is subject to identity, known permissions and shared offline deadlines.
Are exports part of the cache?
Files exported to the system library or Files are independent copies. Clearing app cache does not delete them; revoked sharing cannot remotely recall exports.
Does iOS back up continuously?
iOS controls execution opportunities. Continuous background transfer or instant upload is not guaranteed. Progress is retained across suspension and resumed with valid authorization.
